We’ve sure come a long way since the days of Marty McFly cruising around on the old school NES. Sporting a skate board, while trying to avoid milk men and girls in poodle skirts.
Yaaa, it didn’t make much sense to me either.
It was all we had though, so I made the best of it. But honestly it was only because I didn’t know how much better it could get at the time. Jump forward 25 years though, and I think it’s safe to say that this newest video game incarnation of my hands down favorite movie of 1984 is at least going to be better than that Paper Boy rip off.
Now before you read more about the upcoming hopefully next-gen game, lets just take a moment to pause and remember the past.
Pro: A rockin’ 8 bit soundtrack. Con: Still a piece of crap game.
Ok, enough of the refresher. Now lets look towards…THE FUTURE!

Being developed by Telltale Games, the Back to the Future game series will include the likenesses of Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, who portrayed the characters Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the films, which listed Steven Spielberg among the executive producers. (Lloyd will also provide his voice for the games.)
Bob Gale, who wrote the screenplays for the three films, is working with the game developers on the plot for the planned five “episodes”. Telltale’s recent releases include a series of Sam & Max games available for download on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and for computers at www.telltalegames.com.
As for the storyline, Telltale would confirm that the games would include an appearance of the DeLorean time machine and, the fictional California setting of Hill Valley. The time periods covered will include 1985 and additional characters from the movies will crop up in the game.
Ok, by a show of hands…before 2 minutes ago, who had any idea of who Tell Tale Games even were. Ya, me neither. So it does make me a little apprehensive to leave all my hopes and dreams riding on these relative strangers. But, I’m a “glass is half full” kind of fan, and I have faith that they won’t screw this one up.
Now lets just close our eyes, cross our fingers, say a few hail Mary’s, and hope that the final game Tell Tale creates looks something vaguely like this…

DUDE! This is awesome news!!!!! However I remember my love/frustration for the old NES game. Throwing those milkshakes at bullies in the diner was TOUGH!
