It’s Almost Convention Season!

Comic-Con-Landscape-web

Now, if there is one part of the New Year that I really, really get excited for, it’s convention season.  Okay, so it isn’t really a “season” per se, I’m more just referring to the fact that we have conventions to look forward to!

Over the New Year holiday weekend I was able to get together with fellow My Remote Radioer Junk, it was wicked.  One thing we realized we both really love doing is attending all these cons that come to Illinois.  They are all so close to us, 98% of them taking place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

So we decided that we’re going to try and attend as many of these conventions as humanly possible this year, not only in an effort to spread the word about My Remote Radio, but also to meet all you fans out there (props to our big fan John whom I met this weekend, he’s awesome).  We’re going to be giving away some merchandise we are getting on top of, and just want to hang out with you all.

So, that leaves us to only one question…which conventions will we be attending?

Well we are working on getting press badges for several of these conventions because we will be reviewing and posting pictures/video as well, but if we are denied those, then it’s all based on ticket cost.  So far here is the list of what we are looking to attend and rock out at.

The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo – also known as C2E2 – is a convention spanning the latest and greatest from the worlds of comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games. From a show floor packed with hundreds of exhibitors, to panels and autograph sessions giving fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators, to screening rooms featuring sneak peeks at films and television shows months before they hit either the big or small screen, C2E2 brings the best of popular culture to downtown Chicago!

So that’s it!  Those are the major conventions that are coming here that we are going to try and attend.  Now there is one more convention that gets a ton of coverage, but I think that it would make everyone super awkward to attend.  It’s the Chicago Exxxtasy convention (an adult con).  So, I mean, I guess if enough people comment that they want to go there and meet up we could go…but aren’t we all awkward enough just meeting girls like Felicia Day?

What do you guys think about this?  Would you come out and meet us at these cons?  Maybe grab a beer?  Vote in the poll below and let us know!
