It’s been quite some time since our last vestiges of news about this highly anticipated project.  In the past we’ve reported on Bill Murray not coming back, Bill Murray coming back but dying in the first reel, female busters of the future, Ivan Reitman not directing, the men who pen The Office writing the script…inhale…there is just so much floating out there its hard to even keep up.

Now with this new addition to news I’m not sure how much we can take to heart here, so add this grain of salt to the shaker that is Ghostbusters 3 news.

I need this for my fireplace mantle, if you know where I can find it, tell me.

First up…baby Oscar.  That’s right, that little bundle of joy that Dana popped out with the mysterious unknown father.  Yeah the one that ghost Janosz picked up off the ledge of a high rise dressed as a woman.  Well what if I told you that was the lovechild of Dana and Venkman?  What if I told you that now, after turning 21, he’s ready to follow in his father’s footsteps and start bussin’ ghosts?

Sounds like a fairly obvious plot device, but I like it, nice and clean, no loose ends from Ghostbusters 2.

Thank God Venkman had that Thorazine.

Next, and I know this has been toss around before on the interwebs, the return of Rick Moranis.  Supposedly he has gotten the itch again, and might be returning to the screen to portray Louis Tully yet again!

Now that’s something I can get on board with!

Some of this is old hat, the Oscar twist is news to me for sure, all I know is that with all these rumors floating, and all this uncertainty with the films fate, I’m about ready to file this away with film sequels like Evil Dead 4, and a third series of Spaced.
