Ever since Andrew first reviewed The Hunger Games on his show, I have interested in the story of the books.  But it wasn’t until I finally bought the book after being so intrigued by One-Sheet’s review that I fell in love with the books and the story.  I rocked through all 3 books in the matter of a week.  I killed it.  And it was worth it.

And now with the movie coming out I am becoming a champion of the film.  I will be posting screen shots and stills of the upcoming adaptation of the Suzanne Collins book.  Today we have some stills and promotional photos.  I have some comments.

Here we see Gale and Peeta.  Gale fits about what I had him as, but Peeta is a bit thinner than I thought.  I always imaged him a bit chubby which was one of the reasons I rooted for him.  He’s also supposed to be a bigger guy, bigger than Gale.  I know I’m knit-picking but in all honesty, I believe the looks aren’t nearly as important and someone who can act the part the best.  If this scrawny-skinny Peeta can act as Peeta from the book, then I am 100% for it.

Now – here’s where I have issues.  Not horrible, bitching, whiney ones, but ones I have already addressed.  If you listen to my show you already know this, but I think it’s going to be hard to pull away from the John Lyde shorts where Katniss is beyond perfect and Rue is freaking amazing!!!  It’s going to be very, very hard to see anyone else as Rue after seeing Savanna’s performance.
