Avatar “Earth Brawl Scene”

As if I cared.  I hated Avatar.  It was rather drull and lifeless.  But this is geeky movie news so I thought I would put it up here today aside from some romantic comedy BS news clip.  This is a deleted scene from the original theatrical release.  It will be on the Extended version of the DVD / Blu Ray release this November.

Wolverine 2 CONFIRMED

News this morning is that Hugh Jackman is excited about Wolverine 2. Well…. OK.  Did he see the first one?  Probably not. This movie will take place majorly in Japan, following the Japanese story lines from Wolverine’s past in the comic books.

It’s OK.  Why is it OK, Junk?

Darren Aronofsky has been confirmed as the film’s director by Jackman, himself.  This is something for all of us to be fucking excited about!  This will be the 2nd time the amazing director has worked with Jackman (The Fountain).  Let’s see if this time his beautiful vision can translate into a world of action and comic books.  Why do I love Aronofsky so damn much?  He’s a master at character.  And after the first Wolverine, the franchise highly needs this.  While the first movie focused mainly on what looked cool, hopefully with Darren’s touch the second will touch on character building issues and things that actually make us care about the story.

Bruce Willis wants to do two more Die Hard movies.  Why is this “possible horrible” news?  Well, the Die Hard series is 2 for 4.  Let’s just round it off with 2 for 6, huh?

Piranha 3D Sequel Greenlit

Not only did this Summer’s sneak up hit laugh-horror make enough money but they also grabbed some good names for the sequel.  The new director will be the director of Feast, Alexandre Aja.  I have a special place in my heart for Feast.  I saw the movie at a stuffy-art-house film festival one Fall a few years ago.  it was a midnight showing and the only showing for the film all week long, while every other self-important piece of shit art film played 2 or 3 times.  Nothing against art films, I usually like them, but when a festival looks at a movie like Feast and thumbs it’s nose at it, it just pisses me off.  So anyway – Aja stands up before the movie and talks to the theater, saying, “I know this is an artsy festival, and I know I don’t belong here, but every now and then you just need a kegger.”

Not only is the director new, but also some screen writers… but this isn’t as good of news.  Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the scribes behind Saw V, Saw Vi, and the newest atrocity, Saw 3D.   Yay.  Shit…. maybe the director can save it still.

SCRE4M Teaser Taken Down

The film’s teaser was up on YouTube, and now has been taken down by the Weinsteins.  One more reason to stop liking them after hearing all the BS they did in the past couple years (ie, Asking Tarantino to cut 40 minutes from Bastards, wanting to reshoot Fanboys because it was a “downer”, suing Tarantino over Kill Bill footage and usage even though it’s his creation, wanting to make a Fraggle Rock movie, wanting to make Rambo V, decided to not back Kevin Smith on Red State, not to mention fuck up his other films….and much more).

Maybe letting people see some footage might turn their opinion about this movie?  Because right now, we all think it’s a fucking joke.  No one wants another Scream movie.  Good job fucking your chance of getting people to want to see it.

Great Scott!  This is heavy.  Along with the 25th Anniversary of the film, Mattel is releasing a Back To The Future toy line!  Mattel has been busy making money off old movies, with this line and the Ghostbusters line of toys.  I know Doc Oz and One-Sheet will like these…
