Robots have a seriously PR problem on the internet. They always seem to end up being the butt of one over used SkyNet joke after another or scaring small children and the elderly in Japan. So I was really happy when I came across this article over at Hack-A-Day detailing the work that DIY’er Zizzle put into a robot that brews beer!

The engineering work that went into this wonderful new machine is really impressive. And the UI he designed is no more complicated than an advanced coffee pot. In fact the only manual labor that’s involved in order to make a delicious brew is upload a recipe from Brewtarget, fill up the grain basket, and boil any extra ingredients you’d like to add later. Pretty simple. And worth top prize at the Renesas contest, the contest that this bot was designed for, in my humble opinion!
